Welcome to A Child's Way
This year marks the beginning of A Child’s Way's 27th year in the Burlingame community. A Child’s Way began as a preschool program only and expanded in 1984 to include before and after school programs for children on site at Washington School, for children in grades kindergarten though 5th. In July 1997, we opened A Child’s Way at Spring Valley School. On August 28th, 2003, we opened our third center at McKinley School in Burlingame. We operate though the school year, holidays and offer a 10-week summer program.
Through the years, A Child’s Way has been fortunate to provide your children with wonderful, dedicated, experienced teachers. A Child’s war is special because of its teachers. Many members of the staff have been at A Child’s Way for 5-20 years! Each teacher brings their unique combination of education, experience and interests to create an environment that challenges the children while providing a “home-like” atmosphere. We have a low ratio of children to teachers as well as individual attention from our aids.
Our programs are set up to provide a warm, loving, creative environment, emphasizing self-esteem and learning though hands-on activities and projects that involve self-expression, problem solving and conflict resolution.
A Child’s Way is a non-profit and derives its income solely from tuition and our CARNIVAL, E Scrip and See’s Candy fundraising activities!
